Fillings

Your teeth may well have been damaged by dental caries (decay) or may have fractured. If so they'll need to be repaired and the lost part of the tooth replaced with a 'filling'.

We try to spot cavities and fractures as early as possible through routine screening during your regular check-up appointment; this way we can keep your treatment to a minimum. We'll also always try to treat a tooth by repairing the damage without a filling if we can.

If your teeth do need filling, we'll choose the most suitable material to keep treatment simple and economic, but with a long-lasting result and one that looks natural.

If you're worried about pain during fillings, look at the page on Comfort which explains how we can make your visit relaxed and stress-free, and the pages on fissure sealants, photo-activated (laser) disinfection and ozone treatment, which are all painless ways of treating small areas of decay.
