Practice Manager

Prior to becoming a dental Practice Manager in 2011, I had no experience of dentistry, except as a patient; it was a steep learning curve, which I enjoyed immensely, and ‘making a difference’ to both patients and staff alike, was the deciding factor in carrying on in this position. Previous roles in management and administration, along with an organised mind, helped enormously. Although, I cannot say I have mastered the art of Practice Management yet, I continue to learn new things every day, and feel that you never stop learning, however long you have been in a job.

My aim at Granta Dental is to help give our patients the best treatment, alongside a seamless service each time they visit the practice. This can only happen with excellent teamwork and outstanding communication, which we are striving to achieve. If you feel you are not experiencing the best dental experience, then I would like to know, so that we as a team can put it right.

Apart from managing a busy dental practice, I teach English as a Foreign Language, as well as make time to look after my Grandson – all demanding but very rewarding roles.

Treatment Co-ordinator and Reception Manager

GDC NO 262111

I joined Granta Dental in 2012 as a receptionist; I quickly became intrigued as to what was happening in the surgeries, so I trained to become a dental nurse. I loved learning about different treatments and nursing for the variety of procedures we offer.

After a spell as a Dental Nurse, I now oversee the running of reception, and as treatment co-ordinator discuss treatment options with patients in a comfortable, relaxed setting.  I aim to understand your unique dental needs and goals, and am here to support you throughout your treatment, answering any questions you may have along the way.

In my spare time I like taking long walks with my partner and our gorgeous Cockapoo Rudy. I also enjoy running and try to take part in charity races throughout the year where I can

My previous experience was in the recruitment sector, but as the time went on, I felt I would like to become more involved with people, and be there for them. I decided to change career to work within a dental setting to give patients the best experience I can.

During my time at Granta Dental, I have learned many new things about dentistry and still have more to learn!  I am the first face you see when you walk in to the practice, and I always try to be welcoming with my best smile, and full attention.

Dental Nurse

GDC NO 131582

I started working at Granta Dental in the year 2000, as a trainee dental nurse. Since then I have qualified as a Dental Nurse, and added further qualifications in radiography and sedation.

I am confident and knowledgeable in most areas of dentistry and have a very caring and approachable nature. I take a particular interest in looking after nervous and anxious patients, to achieve optimal oral health.

As well as general dental nursing, I also work with the orthodontist and have a keen interest in myofunctional orthodontics for children.

At home, I have a partner, three small children ages 10,8 and 2 and a Cockapoo which keep me very busy.

Trainee Dental Nurse

As my name suggests, I am from Latvia, but once I left school I wanted to gain new experiences, learn a new language, and live in different country – I chose England as I already had friends here, and I loved Cambridge when I visited.

I began to train as a Dental Nurse, and once the training commenced, I found myself enjoying the course and dentistry itself, especially helping patients maintain their oral health. Once qualified, I would like to develop my skills further with a future goal of becoming a Hygienist/Therapist.

In my spare time, I love travelling, being involved in sport and photography.

I am fairly new to the practice beginning my journey here at Granta Dental in 2018.

I started training to become a dental nurse in 2013, qualifying in 2015, and have loved every moment of it!

I am interested in expanding my knowledge and learning new skills with the aim of becoming a Hygienist/Therapist in the future.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising and spending time with family and friends, exploring new places and long walks with my partner and our French Bulldog Pepper.
